Black Bear Carbon still in the race for a financial injection of 500.000 euro
Amsterdam, 17 juli – Today it was announced that Black Bear Carbon is one of the 25 nominated start-ups still in the running for a spot in the finale of the Postcode Lottery Green Challenge 2017, the annual competition from the Postcode Lottery that supports green starting entrepreneurs. The winner will receive 500.000 euro to develop and market his or her product or service. The runner-up will receive 200.000 euro.
Besides Black Bear, six other Dutch start-ups have been nominated. The nominees also include three American start-ups and two start-ups from Rwanda, Denmark and Kenya respectively. France, Tanzania, Sweden, Germany, Israël, India, Brazil and the United Kingdom are all represented by one start-up. A complete overview of the 25 nominees can be found on the Green Challenge website
Finale 14 september
On the 15th of august the organization will announce which nominees will continue through to the finale on 14 september in the Gashouder in Amsterdam. Leila Janah, founder of Samasource, is this year’s chair of the international judge panel.
